*Job Summary:*
Blytheville Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and dynamic *4th Grade Math and Science Teacher* to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, committed to educational excellence, and eager to create an engaging, student-centered learning environment that fosters critical thinking, curiosity, and academic growth in math and science.
*Qualifications:*
* Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education from an accredited college or university.
* Valid Arkansas Teaching Certificate (or the ability to obtain one) with appropriate endorsement(s) for elementary education.
* Strong belief and demonstrated commitment to the philosophy that all students can learn and achieve at high levels.
* Proven excellent attendance and reliability in past roles.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of best instructional practices in elementary math and science education.
* Ability to effectively build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.
* Professional verification of successful teaching experience and/or student teaching.
* Willingness and ability to meet ethical and professional standards set by the State Board of Education.
* Passion for continuous improvement and ongoing professional growth.
*Essential Responsibilities:*
* Teach and reinforce core 4th grade math and science standards, ensuring students master foundational concepts.
* Create and maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Develop lesson plans that include hands-on activities, real-world applications, and integration of technology to support student learning in math and science.
* Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
* Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic and personal development.
* Foster students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning skills.
* Collaborate with grade-level and content-area teams to align curriculum and instructional strategies.
* Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff through effective communication and outreach.
* Participate in professional learning communities, staff development, and school initiatives.
* Uphold the mission and goals of Blytheville Public Schools through high expectations and continuous improvement.
