Our client, a leading innovator in the biopharma industry, are hiring an AI Engineer to join the team in Cambridge, MA on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing high-quality solutions, with a particular focus on Natural Language Processing.
Responsibilities
As the AI Engineer, you will collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and cross-functional teams to address complex challenges using advanced NLP technologies.
You will create ML and language models in line with business and functional requirements.
Maintain the performance, quality and responsiveness of applications.
Document and convey design and implementation specifics.
Participate in making technical decisions within the AI team.
Skillset
At least two of professional experience in application development or AI engineering.
Minimum of three years of experience in commercial software engineering.
Proficient in working with LLM+RAG agents and NLP solutions.
Experience in fine-tuning LLMs is an advantage.
Skilled in Python or R.
Recent experience with AI/ML toolkits such as AWS SageMaker, PyTorch, TensorFlow or Keras.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
Background in developing AI chatbot applications.
Strong understanding of test-driven development and best coding practices.
Hands-on experience in frontend development is a bonus.
