Convey the thought, intent, and spirit of a speaker to a deaf/hard of hearing person. Interpret/transliterate expressively and receptively using manual and oral methods of communication for the deaf and hard of hearing. Maintain confidentiality of information exchanged in an interpreting situation. Communicate effectively by signing, orally, and in writing. Keep detailed and accurate records. Meet schedules and timelines. Qualifications and Skills Advanced, accurate voicing skills to mediate culturally and linguistically from spoken English to ASL and vice versa. Familiar with ADA terminology and provisions. Skills in a broad range of general interpreting assignments. General knowledge of specialized vocabulary, including technical terms related to medical, supply chain management, and business contexts.
