Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Area Superintendent to oversee the construction of the lobby and restaurant spaces on a high-profile hotel project in Syracuse, NY. This role will be responsible for coordinating daily field operations, supervising subcontractors, ensuring quality standards, and driving schedule adherence in two of the most client-visible and architecturally sensitive areas of the development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all field activities related to the hotel lobby and restaurant construction, including layout, framing, MEP coordination, finishes, and FF&E installation.
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all trades and subcontractors working in the assigned areas.
• Ensure strict adherence to the project schedule , with a focus on sequencing, inspections, and timely completion of key milestones.
• Coordinate closely with the General Superintendent and Project Manager to align area progress with overall project goals.
• Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and finish quality , particularly important in high-visibility areas such as the lobby and dining space.
• Oversee and enforce site safety protocols in accordance with company standards and OSHA regulations.
• Participate in daily coordination meetings and prepare daily field reports documenting manpower, work completed, inspections, and issues.
• Assist with punch list generation and closeout efforts for the lobby and restaurant scopes.
• Address design conflicts or field issues proactively in collaboration with project engineers and architects.
• MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL
