We believe in a calm, consistent, and compassionate approach that supports participant growth while ensuring staff feel confident, supported, and well-trained. Our environment prioritizes professional integrity, strong communication, and a team culture that centers participant stability and safety.

Purpose of the Position

The BCBA is a key clinical leader within the program, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing individualized behavioral supports for participants.

The BCBA works in close collaboration with the Behavioral Psychologist and the Program Director, integrating clinical insight and operational coordination to support participant success.

This role is ideal for a BCBA who thrives in a hands-on, team-driven setting that encourages growth, shared learning, and practical application of ABA strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Assessment & Plan Development

• Lead the development, revision, and implementation of comprehensive Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).

• Ensure BSPs are practical, trauma-informed, positive, and implementable across program and community environments.

• Evaluate clinical needs and make data-driven recommendations for ISP/IPP behavioral goals.

2. Staff Training, Modeling & Competency Development

• Provide ongoing training, modeling, role-play, and performance-based coaching to staff.

• Conduct competency assessments to ensure correct and confident implementation of behavioral strategies.

• Develop visual supports, simplified guides, and tools that increase implementation fidelity.

• Promote a calm, confident, participant-centered approach through positive staff leadership and supportive feedback cycles.

3. Clinical Oversight, Fidelity Monitoring & Safety

• Monitor daily implementation of BSPs to ensure adherence, safety, and consistency.

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled fidelity checks and provide corrective feedback when necessary.

• Participate in crisis prevention and post-incident debriefs to support participant stability.

• Collaborate with the Program Director on operational factors affecting behavioral needs (staffing, engagement activities, schedules, etc.).

4. Collaboration & Clinical Partnership

• Work closely with the Behavioral Psychologist, whose extensive field experience supports a collaborative, practice-based approach to behavioral intervention and participant support.

• Maintain active communication with the Program Director, Director of Operations, and staff teams regarding participant progress and needs.

• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to support integrated, holistic care.

• Ensure calm, professional communication across all clinical and operational areas.

5. Documentation, Data Review & Reporting

• Oversee data collection systems and ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability.

• Analyze data trends, baseline measures, and progress indicators to guide treatment modifications.

• Prepare summaries, reports, and updates for internal teams and program planning.

• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency policy, confidentiality standards, and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Credentials

Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

• Current BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development through teamwork, feedback, and continuing education.

Experience

Experience (internship, practicum, supervised hours, or post-certification) supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.

• Experience in day programs, community settings, or school-based behavioral environments preferred.

• Strong fit for a newly certified BCBA eager to gain hands-on experience and professional growth in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Skills & Professional Traits

Strong clinical judgment and understanding of behavioral principles.

• Ability to lead, coach, train, and model calm, consistent behavioral practice.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Professionalism, reliability, and a steady presence with participants and staff.

• Flexibility, teachability, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable populations.

Additional Requirements

Current (or willingness to obtain) CPR/First Aid certification.

• Successful clearance through all required background checks.

• Commitment to upholding organizational values of safety, inclusion, integrity, and consistency.

• Comfort engaging in hands-on, active behavioral support in both program and community environments.

• Direct interaction with participants, staff, and leadership across various settings.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with flexibility as needed for participant or program needs.

• Regular collaboration, skill-building, and professional development opportunities are built into the weekly schedule.
