Bookkeeper

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is an extremely stable real estate development firm looking to add a Bookkeeper to their Accounting team
• Fully in office position located in Harlem, NY directly next to A train and other forms of public transportation
• Directly reports to Controller with opportunities for growth from within

Responsibilities:

• Full cycle accounts payable and receivable responsibilities for approximately 17 properties
• Ensure accuracy in Bookkeeping
• Communicate with vendors and Property Managers on an as needed basis
• Set up of leases
• Scanning checks into the system

Experience Preferred:

• Experience with MRI is a major plus! Knowledge in a similar system such as Yardi also a plus
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Basic Excel skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
