Job Title: Business Analyst
Work Type: Contract - Remote
Contract Duration: 12 months
We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in strategic planning, financial and operational modeling, and leading business transformation in healthcare or public sector environments.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience synthesizing data, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and developing actionable plans to improve organizational performance and service delivery.
This role will involve working closely with senior leadership to guide decision-making and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial and Operational Modeling: Lead financial and operational modeling efforts for scenario and gap analysis. Synthesize findings from data analysis and stakeholder input to present recommendations to leadership teams for developing future state models, conducting gap analyses, and creating transition plans.
Research and Integration of Best Practices: Conduct research on leading practices, including business processes, clinical integration, and service delivery. Incorporate findings into future state business processes to improve organizational performance.
Change and Transformation in Healthcare/Public Sector: Perform in-depth analysis of service delivery activities, facilitate stakeholder engagements, and assist the organization through transformation and change processes in a healthcare or public sector setting.
Business Architecture and Capability Redesign: Facilitate business architecture and capability redesign workshops aimed at improving system efficiency and effectiveness. Develop recommendations, conduct reviews with stakeholders, and obtain approval from senior leadership.
Corporate Strategic Planning: Manage the corporate strategic planning function, including the development of key initiatives and operational plans across business units. Ensure risk management practices are integrated into strategic planning.
Supply Chain Management Improvement: Analyze improvements to supply chain management practices within the context of provincial healthcare delivery, with a focus on leveraging supply chain data to improve decision-making.
Mandatory Requirements:
Certification in Strategic Planning (Proof required with response)
Education:
Degree in Journalism or Communication (Proof required with response)
Certification in Leadership (Proof required with response)
Skills and Experience:
10+ years of experience in financial and operational modeling for scenario and gap analysis, consolidating stakeholder input with data analysis to present findings to leadership teams. Experience should include the development of future state models, gap analyses, transition plans, and the implementation of performance management frameworks.
10+ years of experience researching leading practices in business processes, clinical integration, and service delivery. Incorporating these best practices into future state business processes.
10+ years of experience performing analysis and implementing change in a healthcare or public sector environment, including analyzing service delivery activities, facilitating with key stakeholders, and guiding the organization through change and transformation.
5+ years of experience facilitating business architecture and capability redesign activities, including developing recommendations, conducting reviews with stakeholders, and obtaining executive approval to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.
8+ years of experience managing corporate strategic planning functions, including the development of key initiatives and operational plans. Demonstrated experience in integrating risk management practices into strategic planning processes.
1+ year of experience performing analysis on improvements to supply chain management practices supporting provincial healthcare delivery, with a focus on using supply chain data to inform decision-making.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and present actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and present findings to senior leadership.
Demonstrated experience in driving change management in large organizations, particularly in healthcare or public sector settings.
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
Education & Certifications:
