The Club:
Long Cove Club, located in the heart of Hilton Head Island, SC, is an exclusive, member-owned community known for its casual elegance and commitment to excellence. Long Cove Club has a vibrant social calendar and is proud to host the prestigious Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Golf Tournament! Our members have also established a Team Member Assistance Program, generously funding it to support team members facing unexpected financial challenges. Additionally, the Long Cove Fund, managed by the Charitable Advisory Committee, encourages charitable giving from our members and provides grants to nonprofits addressing vital needs such as health, housing, hunger, and education in Beaufort and Jasper Counties.

Responsibilities:
As a Catering and Events Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our event services. This includes Member Events and Club Events. You will collaborate closely with our members and team members to ensure every event is a resounding success. Your role will involve coordinating event details, menu selection, room setup, and vendor contracts to guarantee a seamless execution.

• Plan, execute, and supervise various types of events.
• Collaborate closely with our members to exceed their event expectations.
• Coordinate event details, menu selection, room setup, and vendor contracts.
• Actively explore and implement innovative ideas to elevate event experiences.
• Maintain strong member relationships.
• Meticulously pay attention to detail and communicate effectively.
• Create Banquet Event Order (BEO) sheets within JAM (Jonas) and ensure all details are communicated to the responsible department managers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Event Management from a four-year college is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in club event planning or working in a club setting is strongly preferred.
• Passion for creating memorable events.
• Familiarity with JAM (Jonas) is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
