About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer for its Cancer Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center, driving the delivery of exceptional patient care, and ensuring the highest quality and safety standards in clinical care. This role requires a Master's degree, preferably an MBA, with a strong background in healthcare financials and market analyses, and a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive operational experience in an academic medical center, particularly in oncology services. The CAO will lead a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and work to elevate the oncology services into the top 50 cancer programs in the nation. Key qualifications include a demonstrable record of significant career progression in healthcare management, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage and lead in a complex, matrixed organization. The role also involves overseeing the center's capital requirements, establishing relationships with institutional leadership, and collaborating with the executive team to meet the strategic goals of the cancer center. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing budgets, business negotiations, and improving various performance metrics related to patient care and satisfaction. Compliance with all relevant policies, laws, and regulations is essential, as is the ability to work with top-level executives to devise and implement strategies that align with the mission and vision of the academic medical enterprise.
