Cloud Security Engineer| Hybrid| North York - Concord

We are hiring a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic Information Technology team. Reporting to the VP of IT, you will collaborate closely with our vCISO and Senior Manager of Cybersecurity & Systems to enhance our security posture through patch management, system upgrades, and strategic initiatives. This role is vital in protecting our client's organization's data and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Deployment (40%):
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity solutions and document processes for continuous improvement.
• Administration (35%):
  • Manage Active Directory (Hybrid), oversee patch management, and maintain cyber awareness platforms.
• Incident Support (15%):
  • Provide cybersecurity incident escalation support, collaborating with IT teams and third-party vendors.
• Vendor and Partner Collaboration (10%):
  • Engage with third-party partners, vendors, and sister companies to ensure seamless operations and compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Job's main goal and responsibilities:
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to independently resolve tickets, complete projects on time, and maintain strong communication with the team. You will be evaluated based on incident response effectiveness, collaboration metrics, and positive feedback from customers and management.

Communication and Working Relationships:

• Internal: Collaborate with our client's group of companies, including site offices.
• External: Build and enhance relationships with trusted partners and vendors, ensuring accountability for SLAs and fostering joint problem-solving initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly with Microsoft environments and cloud security.
• Proficient in managing Azure security tools, Active Directory, GPO, and familiar with NIST or ISO frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills and experience managing complex security projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. ‍

‍ Nice to Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSE, Security+, CISSP, or equivalent.

• Work Model: Hybrid - Permanent Employment
• Work Environment: Focus on work-life balance with respect for core values.
• Work Schedule: Standard working hours of 35 hours/week (7 hours/day), Monday-Friday; occasional weekend support may be required.
• ‍ Travel Requirements: Local travel within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA); overseas travel is not applicable
