Aerotek is hiring CNC Machine Operators

Shift: 1st shift 5:15am to 1:45pm Monday - Friday 2nd shift 1:45pm to 10:15pm Monday - Friday

Pay: $17 to $23 (WILL TAKE ENTRY LEVEL CANDIDATES WITH SCHOOLING)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading engineering drawings and other specifications.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
• Closely monitor the machines while they execute tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
• Inspect and measure the finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
• Inspect and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a CNC operator.
• Skills in operating CNC machinery and tooling
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering documents and drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
• A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
• Good communication abilities.
• Reliability and perfect attendance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate or diploma from a CNC machining school, technical college, or relevant discipline is a plus.

Work Environment

Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.
