Position Overview:

As the Estimator , you will play a critical role in the pre-construction process by analyzing drawings, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate and competitive project cost estimates. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all aspects of the project are financially sound and strategically aligned. This is a 100% in-office role and ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment with a team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers; evaluate pricing and negotiate where necessary.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs, material and labor cost calculations, and project schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to develop accurate proposals and budgets.
• Attend bid meetings, site walks, and client presentations as needed.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk factors during the estimating process.
• Maintain accurate records of historical cost data and benchmarking for future projects.
• Ensure all estimates comply with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in estimating within the construction industry (commercial or public works experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or Foundation).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required.
