Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Superintendent to join a fast growing, versatile construction company in San Diego, California. They offer a wide range of services, including metal and wood framing, drywall installation, structural steel construction, and more. They are in the top 1% of California Licensed contracting companies (according to BuildZoom). Most projects are within driving distance of San Diego (all mileage covered by the company). Travel out of town is expected 3-4 times per year, all travel and lodgings will be covered. This is an 18-month contract (with potential for future commercial and residential projects) and possible conversion to full time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily site operations , ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, and site workers .
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety protocols .
- Interpret and enforce project blueprints, specifications, and schedules .
- Manage material orders, site logistics, and overall project workflow .
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce job site safety policies.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion .
- Identify and resolve onsite challenges to maintain productivity and job quality.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in commercial construction .
- OSHA 30 Certification required.
- Proven leadership and team management skills .
- Extensive experience in metal and wood framing, drywall installation, and structural steel construction .
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards .
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications .
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills .
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Employees may be required to stay onsite or nearby for the project's duration to ensure timely execution and responsiveness.
Compensation:
- Prevailing wages for this project (in accordance with state/local requirements).
- Non-prevailing wages for future projects where applicable.
This position is offering between $48 and $78 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
