We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Blanchester, Ohio. This opportunity is ideal for a strong accounting consultant with a strong background in manufacturing and the ability to manage month-end processes, financial reporting, and cost analysis. The role requires working onsite five days a week and offers a chance to contribute to the success of our transportation-focused operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage month-end closing activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

• Prepare detailed site reports and analyze costs to optimize operational efficiency.

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring proper document control.

• Develop and present annual financial statements and reports to key stakeholders.

• Conduct thorough financial reporting to provide insights and support decision-making.

• Collaborate with teams to ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the finance department.

• Provide financial guidance and support to operational teams to drive business performance.

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.

• Monitor financial activities to mitigate risks and ensure seamless operations.

• Proven experience in a Controller role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in general accounting principles and practices.
• Expertise in managing month-end closing processes and producing financial reports.
• Ability to prepare and analyze annual financial statements and cost reports.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on document control.
