• Work proactively to resolve and resubmit unpaid, rejected, or denied insurance claims
• Post adjustments, transfer of responsibility, and refunds, when needed, and update accounting records accordingly
• Answer all client questions related to account status, activity, and outstanding charges
• Obtain any necessary payer information to ensure thorough completion of client bills and records
• Become the insurance expert in the office.

Qualifications:

• Research and problem-solving skills are required to facilitate collections, fix errors, and assess denials
• Strong financial management software skills are necessary in this position
• Must have superb organizational, communication, and math skills to work effectively with clients and deliver accurate billing
• Accounts receivable, billing, data entry, and customer service experience is beneficial
• Working knowledge of billing, accounting, finance, and collections processes is essential
• Results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting firm deadlines
• Broad experience with dental insurance and Colorado Medicaid.
