We are looking for a full-time Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team! You will be responsible for performing basic repairs and preventative maintenance for a fleet of Mack, Freightliner and Volvo tractors, dump trucks and trailers.
We are looking for a mechanic experienced in repairing and replacing minor issues such as lights, brakes, hoses, diagnostics, changing tires, etc.
PAID WEEKLY. Health Insurance is available.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing tires to ensure trucks are properly maintained and safe
- Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials, including replacing complete assemblies, turbos, fuel system components, etc.
- Inspect various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanicisms to ensure they are in proper condition to operate effectively.
- Replace parts, valves, bearings and gears as needed and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems.
- Measure vehicle emissions to ensure they are in the proper limits.
- Keep your work area clean and safe
- Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by management
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a diesel mechanic and trailer maintenance
- Must be able to work independently and lift heavy equipment and parts regularly and well as the ability to work well as part of a team
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Willing to work in non-climate controlled conditions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
