Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level/Associate C++ Software Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in the semiconductor industry . This role is an excellent opportunity for new graduates passionate about software development and eager to work on complex, high-performance systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in C++/C programming, an understanding of object-oriented principles, and the drive to learn and innovate. 

Location : Fremont, CA

Pay Rate: $30-40 an hour

Duration : 6 months (possibility to convert to direct) 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C++/C software solutions for semiconductor equipment applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to architect and implement robust system control software.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices to continuously improve software quality.
• Work in both Linux/Unix and Windows environments to ensure seamless integration and functionality across platforms.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field ( Master's degree is a plus ).
• Proficiency in C++/C programming with a strong understanding of object-oriented design and development.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures .
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and dive deep into complex technical challenges.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry or related technical disciplines.
• Familiarity with system control software and software architecture design .
