Job Title: EHS Manager (Food and Beverage Industry)

Location: Chicago, IL

Salary: $90,000-$125,000

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an EHS Manager to join our client's organization in the Chicago, IL area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead by example and uphold company values.
• Act as a trusted advisor and mentor across the facility.
• Utilize experience and innovative approaches to EHS activities.
• Anticipate potential workplace hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze reports and data to develop projects and improvement plans.
• Coordinate response, investigation, and corrective actions for EHS incidents.
• Manage workers' compensation reports, documentation, and costs.
• Develop and maintain databases relevant to EHS activities.
• Interpret regulations, industry best practices, and relevant information.
• Ensure compliance with EHS regulations through education and audits.
• Participate in corporate, customer, and government-related EHS audits.
• Maintain accurate records and data in accordance with guidelines.
• Provide training on policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of facility EHS leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CSP, CIH, CSHM, CHMM are a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and cloud-based EHS systems preferred.
• Ability to travel occasionally for audits, conferences, or other work activities.
