Estimator – Residential Roofing

📍 Location: Silver Spring, MD (On-site, M–F)

💲 Salary: $80,000–$90,000 (plus discretionary end-of-year bonus)

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to support their growing residential division. They are expanding fast and need someone who can deliver timely, accurate proposals while working closely with project and sales teams.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys both desk work and occasional site visits, and brings hands-on experience in roofing estimation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review blueprints, specs, and job scopes to build accurate proposals
• Conduct occasional roof/site visits to confirm measurements and materials
• Prepare detailed estimates for time, labor, and material costs
• Collaborate directly with sales reps and project managers to ensure bids align with customer expectations
• Turn around residential roofing estimates same-day or within 24 hours

Requirements:

• 2+ years of roofing estimating experience (required)
• Solid knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and labor requirements
• Comfortable doing on-site assessments when needed
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and collaboration skills
• Tech-savvy mindset is a bonus—company is mid-process of modernizing tools
