Protego Biopharma, Inc. is a privately held biotech focusing on the discovery and development of first- or best-in-class small-molecule therapeutics that aim to reprogram protein folding for the treatment of various systemic amyloid diseases, such as light chain (LC) amyloidosis.

Protego Bio is seeking an exceptional Senior Executive Assistant to support our Management Team. This opportunity comes at a pivotal time in the company’s growth, as we advance a portfolio of first-in-class small molecule therapeutics aimed at treating protein misfolding diseases. More than an administrative partner, the Senior Executive Assistant will act as a trusted extension of the Management Team—anticipating needs, taking initiative, and creating leverage so the CEO can focus on advancing Protego’s strategic, scientific, and operational priorities. The ideal candidate brings judgment, discretion, and an ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial culture where precision, follow-through, and proactive communication are essential.

In addition to supporting the Management Team, this role offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen Protego’s administrative culture, fostering collaboration, efficiency, and connection across a growing team of scientists, clinicians, and business leaders. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires agility, professionalism, and a deep sense of ownership in representing the company both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic right hand to the Management Team, anticipating needs, taking initiative, and creating leverage with a practical, hands-on mindset that allows the team to focus on advancing Protego Bio’s most critical scientific, strategic, and operational priorities
• Orchestrate complex scheduling, communications, travel, and board logistics with precision, discretion, and efficiency—ensuring the Management Team’s time is aligned to the highest-impact opportunities
• Act as a trusted liaison between the CEO, Board of Directors, senior leadership, investors, and external partners—driving seamless preparation, communication, and follow-through while representing the executive office with professionalism and executive presence
• Support and strengthen Protego Bio’s culture by helping design and execute company-wide meetings, offsites, and initiatives that foster engagement, connection, and shared purpose across a growing team
• Contribute to organizational effectiveness, proactively improving systems, processes, and communication flow to enable scale and operational excellence

Position Requirements

• 10+ years of experience providing executive-level support to C-suite leaders in dynamic, high-growth, or science-driven organizations
• Recognized for proactive partnership, discretion, and kindness, with a track record of anticipating needs and creating clarity and leverage for senior executives
• Demonstrated success supporting boards and executive leadership teams, including managing complex preparation, materials, and logistics with precision and confidentiality
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to navigate multiple fast-moving priorities and maintain composure in a rapidly evolving environment
• Polished written and verbal communicator, able to represent the CEO and the company with professionalism, empathy, and executive presence
• Resourceful problem-solver, bringing creativity, judgment, and calm under pressure to new or ambiguous challenges
• Digitally fluent and adaptable, confident using modern productivity tools and systems to drive efficiency and support the company’s growth
