The Fund Accountant will prepare financial statements, calculate NAV, monitor compliance, and ensure smooth operations of the fund. Must be independent, proactive, and ready to learn!

Description

The key responsibilities of this role include the following:

• Calculating net asset value (NAV) of investment funds.
• Preparing accurate financial statements and reports for clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Reconciling cash and position balances with external sources.
• Recording and processing transactions, including purchases, sales, and income accruals.
• Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Analyzing fund performance and providing insights into returns, risks, and overall investment strategy effectiveness.
• Interacting with clients and providing information regarding fund performance and accounting issues.

Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• 2-5+ years of experience in audit
• CPA preferred, or in progress
• Experience auditing Hedge Fund/Private Equity firms
• Someone who is independent and proactive!
• An eagerness to learn!
