Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for providing leadership to the Property Accountants, A/P and A/R team members and overseeing the day-to-day property accounting functions of Goldmark. Core responsibilities include coordinating the monthly preparation and distribution of property financial statements and budget variance reports, ensuring the accurate completion of required accounting reporting, reviewing bank accounts to maximize interest investments, and setting up and monitoring sweep accounts. In addition, the Director of Accounting will be responsible for reviewing processes to identify opportunities for process improvement that create efficiencies.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with an MBA and/or CPA licensure preferred. Ten (10) years of accounting experience in a property management or professional services industry with three (3) years in a leadership role is required. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader with strong business acumen who is not afraid to jump in where needed. Hands-on experience with the development and implementation of efficient accounting practices is crucial, as are strong communication skills and the ability to communicate financial information to various levels of the organization. Experience with ERP and/or property management software/systems is a plus.
