Job Description

TITLE: Graphic Designer Assistant DEPARTMENT: Creative REPORTS TO: Creative Director Partner with the work of God at Ocean Church by creating compelling and impactful visual content that communicates the message and mission of Ocean Church. The Graphic Designer Assistant is a positive, team-oriented, kingdom-minded individual who models initiative, service, and accuracy as they play a pivotal role on the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design smaller-scale assets including but not limited to social media carousels, touch cards, connect cards, and simple print or digital graphics for ministries Support ongoing church-wide campaigns with design updates and asset resizing Maintain brand consistency by following established style guides for Ocean Church and its ministries Prepare final design files for print and digital distribution, ensuring accuracy and quality Assist in organizing and managing design files and templates for easier access across departments Collaborate with the Creative Director and Creative Team to ensure weekly tasks are completed on time Manage multiple small projects simultaneously while meeting quick turnaround times Help implement creative direction given by the Creative Director without needing extensive oversight Assist in building and leading Crtv Collective teams within Ocean YTH, supporting students in developing creative gifts and serving on Sundays Stay current on basic design tools (primarily Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva) and trends in church design This job description in no way states or implies that the ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are the only responsibilities of this position. WORK SCHEDULE

Monday-Thursday + Weekends part-time

A dependable, self-motivated designer with a strong eye for detail and a heart to serve. They have 1-2 years of experience in graphic design and are confident working in Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva. They thrive when given clear direction and can take ownership of smaller design tasks without constant oversight. They are organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple simple projects at once. They value creativity as a form of ministry and are excited to support the mission of Ocean Church by helping bring weekly creative needs to life. Bonus if they have a passion for youth and are eager to help build and support creative teams on Sundays through Ocean YTH's Crtv Collective.
