KZF Design is seeking a Landscape Designer to support our site, planning, and building design teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, self-starting professional who is passionate about landscape architecture and eager to contribute to high-quality, client-focused design solutions.

The Landscape Designer will assist in the design and production of landscape architecture projects, collaborating closely with internal and external teams. This role involves developing design concepts, preparing construction documents, and participating in client meetings and site visits. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and is committed to continuous learning and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, interior design, MEP, civil and structural engineering, urban planning, and sustainability.
• Assist in the preparation of design studies, narratives, calculations, and construction documents.
• Ensure technical accuracy, code compliance, and constructability of design solutions.
• Participate in value engineering, client discussions, and project meetings.
• Support field investigations and construction site observations as needed.
• Produce deliverables that meet KZF’s quality standards and client expectations.
• Manage multiple assignments and prioritize project needs effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional experience in landscape design or architecture.
• Strong analytical, planning, and design skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling/rendering tools.
• Experience developing landscape design plans and construction documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to become licensed as a Landscape Architect in the State of Ohio.

Preferred Qualifications

• LEED AP or other sustainability credentials.
• Active participation in professional organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture.
