Job Description

A production lead will report to the Production manager daily and will be responsible for overseeing the production as well as the cleanup activities during the second shift hours starting at 2pm. You will manage the line operations to ensure safety and compliance with GMPs are always maintained and will assist in overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of operations in a GMP environment.

Essential Functions :

1. Receives and answers questions from workers pertaining to production processes or equipment operation.
2. Monitors and expedites flow of materials within production area and makes adjustments when necessary.
3. Notifies maintenance workers of equipment malfunctions to limit downtime.
4. Directs substitutes to tend or operate machines or equipment on production line to for absentee workers when they step away momentarily.
5. Maintains product workflow records.
6. Assures compliance with all safety and production practices.
7. Helps to train workers in equipment operation and in processing and safety procedures.
8. Communicates with supervisors, and other lead personnel any problems or concerns while promoting an improving environment.
9. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Important Considerations and physical requirements:

• Work in a controlled environment where gowning and other precautions are in place to meet GMPs.
• Work in a cold, wet environment
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
• Weekend availability and overtime as necessary

Requirements:

1. Must have excellent math skills and the ability to read and write in English.
2. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
3. 2+ years’ experience as a Lead or Supervisor in a GMP Manufacturing facility preferred.
