Mechanical Assembly/Machine Builder 1st & 2nd Shift $23 to $25 per hour

Job Description

The individual in this role will build assemblies, sub-assemblies, panels, and components for automated equipment. This role requires working on a manufacturing floor that is very clean and well-lit. The equipment built is used in the manufacturing of medical devices, as well as in the aerospace and nuclear industries.

Responsibilities

• Follow step-by-step instructions to connect and assemble components, both mechanically and electrically.
• Perform mechanical assembly of machines, sub-assemblies, and build machines from prints.
• Test and troubleshoot components using volt meters.
• Use a BOM and schematic to identify potential problems, and organize by assembly.
• Assist or supervise machine 'power up'.

Essential Skills

• 5-10+ years of experience in machine, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated equipment building.
• 5+ years of experience working from mechanical and electrical schematics, prints, or diagrams.
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, testing, and using volt meters.
• Proficiency in assembly, hand tools, mechanical assembly, blueprint reading, tape measure, wiring, hand and power tools, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical wiring, and automation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
