Our client, is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative design solutions. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Designer - Buildings

Location: Belle Chasse, Louisiana

What's the Job?

• Develop detailed mechanical designs and layouts for industrial building systems, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Utilize CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) to create 2D and 3D models, schematics, and construction documents.
• Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure effective integration of mechanical systems.
• Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and equipment sizing to optimize system performance.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and provide technical support during construction.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in industrial or commercial buildings.
• Proficiency in CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, energy modeling, and sustainability principles.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
