Title : Mechanical Engineer

Location : Fremont, CA

Duration : 12+ months contract

Salary : $60 to $70/hr on W2 - little negotiable for right talent

Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support simulation activities related to design validation, optimization, testing, and data collection. This role provides essential design insights to guide packaging development for our technology. The candidate will also oversee support personnel in tasks including detailed design, testing, and prototype fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CFD and FEA simulations to support design and testing
• Validate and optimize mechanical and thermal designs
• Guide prototype fabrication and experimental testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product packaging solutions

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in CFD/FEA simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and structural analysis
• Experience in the semiconductor industry
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX or equivalent)
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education:

• Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME), or
• Master of Engineering (MEng) – practice-oriented alternative to MSME, or
• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering – preferred for research-intensive or highly specialized roles
