Industrial Designer and Manufacturer, CAD/CAM

Reliable Pattern Works, Inc. is seeking new professional to design and manufacture industrial foundry patterns, molds, fixtures, models and machining. Candidate to have experience in 3D CAD/CAM, preferably SolidWorks, Autodesk PowerMILL and/or Fusion or ability to transition to one of these environments.

• Design and manufacture foundry tooling to be used in sand, permanent mold, and investment casting processes. Types of foundry tooling include stack boxes, match plates, master patterns, cores, core print, loose pieces, gating and gages
• Design and manufacture large and small molds for use in polymer, concrete, plastic, ceramic, and other industries
• Convert 2D drawings to 3D CAD models
• Set up and operate 3-axis and CNC VMC: Haas, Fadal, CNT Motion
• Design simple to complex molds and models, understand parting lines
• Understand shrink, draft, machine stock allowances
• Design and build fixtures, templates, scale models and devices
• Comprehend standard drawing views, notes, tolerances
• Familiar with manual machinery: Drills, lathes, saws and mills, manual tools and measuring devices
• Fabricate using materials: Aluminum, steel, iron, plastic, tooling boards, wood
• Manage multiple projects at one time
• Small business setting
• Ability of follow project from concept design to finished product
• Ability to work independently, work with a team, and interact with customers to assist in the design and manufacturing process
• Experience with tooling repairs, reworks, and inspection
• Wage is based on experience
