Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Assist obstetricians and nurses during labor and delivery procedures Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile environments Monitor the vital signs of pregnant women and report any irregularities Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families Administer medications under the supervision of medical staff Perform clerical tasks such as updating patient records and scheduling appointments Ensure proper cleaning and disposal of medical waste and used equipment Educate patients on postpartum care and newborn care basics Assist in the transportation of patients to and from labor and delivery rooms Conduct routine equipment checks and report any malfunctions Ensure all necessary supplies are stocked and readily available Qualifications: Certification as an Obstetrics Technician Previous experience in labor and delivery or a similar clinical setting Strong understanding of obstetric and gynecological procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work calmly under pressure Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems Bilingual skills Basic life support (BLS) certification High school diploma or GED Completion of a certified OB Technician program Current BLS certification Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures Strong organizational skills Ability to follow detailed instructions Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist in patient lifting and positioning Empathy and patient-focused attitude Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Certifications Required: BLS, NBSTA, and Fire Card Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Full-time Job Function Other Industries IT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr TALENT Software Services
