Experienced Machine Operator | HIRING IMMEDIATELY | Conyers, GA

2nd Shift

12-Hours

07:00 pm-07:00 am

Compensation:

• Competitive starting pay range of $20.52-$22.65 per hour, paid weekly
• Shift Differential $2.00

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

This role oversees all production equipment with essential duties that include start up and operation of heavy machinery. In this role, you will ensure that all machinery is running efficiently, producing quality product, and complete minor mechanical work.

JOB DUTIES:

• Extrusion experience preferred.
• Consistently and safely operate thermoforming machines at or above standard operating levels, including safety, quality, efficiency, scrap, and utilization. This includes packing the finished product into bags and boxes.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and correct machine-related problems through proper adjustments to various machine parts.
• Provide innovative solutions for production issues.
• Provide support and guidance to less experienced personnel.
• Complete appropriate end-of-shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities.
• Inspect and recognize defective products and make machine adjustments to correct the cause of defects.
• Observe all housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualified candidates' will have 1-year experience in a fast-paced production environment with some mechanical knowledge of industrial systems.
• Complete required training/documentation to be a B Operator within specified time frame.
• Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem solving skills and effective communication skills - written and verbal are required.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand on your feet and work for an entire 12 hour shifts

Conyers is an Atlanta suburb and the only city in Rockdale County, Georgia. The city is 24 miles east of downtown Atlanta and is a part of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 15,195. The city is the county seat of Rockdale County.

The plant was acquired by Pactiv in 2003, manufactures PET and Polypropylene Lids & ESL Trays, and has approximately 180 employees. The Conyers plant was awarded Pactiv safety plant of the year 2018, Foodservice BU Environmental plant of the year 2019.
