Order Puller Associate
Location: DFW Airport area
Company is a national wholesaler of firearms and related accessories.
Job Summary
The Order Puller Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient fulfillment of customer orders by pulling and shelving merchandise, supporting inventory processes, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment. This fast-paced position involves working closely with voice inventory systems and handling items with precision and accuracy to meet company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfill customer orders by following directives from the Jennifer voice inventory system to place items in designated totes or warehouse locations.
- Use barcode scanning to manage inventory, including picking items for orders and shelving merchandise in red or yellow totes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist with large package order picking and shelving pallets and totes as needed.
- Support quarterly inventory checks and other inventory activities.
- Operate powered equipment, such as forklifts, if qualified and applicable.
Required Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order-picking role is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment requiring prolonged standing and physical activity.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Experience with voice inventory systems or warehouse management software.
- Prior forklift certification or experience operating powered equipment.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and effectively.
- Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic math (e.g., addition, subtraction, counting).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with voice-directed inventory systems, such as Jennifer.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety.
- Attention to detail to ensure high accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift items throughout the shift in a dynamic warehouse environment.
- Normal hearing required to interact effectively with the Jennifer system.
Shifts Available:
First Shift – 5:45a-2:15p
Inbound Shift – 8:00a – 4:30p
Second – 10:45a-7:15p
Third – 2:45p-11:45p
