PARK MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT / SAN DIEGO COAST DISTRICT / NORTH SECTOR / CARDIFF, CA

This reporting location for this position is San Elijo State Beach Maintenance Shop. This position will work under the general direction of the Park Maintenance Chief I.

The position requires the physical ability to carry out the tasks assigned in a safe and efficient manner such as housekeeping, facility maintenance, and grounds keeping. Position acts as a lead person for seasonal employees, court referrals and inmate crews.

The incumbent’s work schedule will be Sunday to Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Working Conditions

Typical work activities involve frequent periods of bending, stooping, and lifting.

May have extensive exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.

May require heavy physical work including lifting, pushing, or pulling.

May work in remote locations.

Special Requirements
