PARK MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR – DIABLO RANGE DISTRICT / HOLLISTER HILLS STATE VEHICULAR RECREATION AREA / HOLLISTER CA.

The reporting location for this position is Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area 7800 Cienega Road located in Hollister Hills CA. This position will work under the general direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisor).  

The Park Maintenance Supervisor is the leader of the Southern Resource Field Crew. This job will supervise a team of 8-12: Skilled Laborers, Laborers, Forestry Aides, seasonals, and volunteers. This position will work very closely with Environmental Scientists to plan and implement restoration work, forest management, prescribed fires, trail maintenance, and resource management. The position will also be responsible for the Resource Departments safety program and coordinating equipment maintenance.  As expected, this job requires working outdoors in inclement weather conditions, hiking over uneven and steep terrain, and carrying heavy loads.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.  

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

It should be noted that testing is not mandatory, but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in CCR 599.962 .
