Join to apply for the Physical Security Specialist role at Defense Logistics Agency . Assist in planning, developing, implementing, and monitoring the installation security program. Review regulations or policies to determine the impact of policy change. Provide technical advisory services to the Installation Commander on shipping, handling, and storage of sensitive materials. Analyze the mission and functions of the Installation and recommend comprehensive security controls. Research procurement of physical security devices, equipment, and supplies. Conduct physical security inspections for vulnerabilities, threats, water systems, food, and risk management. Prepare updates and briefings for senior leaders and executives regarding the Security Program. Requirements Must be a U.S. citizen Flexible Tour of Duty Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access Background checks and suitability determination required Fair Labor Standards Act: Non-Exempt Selective Service registration required for males born after 12-31-1959 Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program: Must obtain DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within two years of employment Qualifications To qualify, your resume must demonstrate: Education from an accredited institution, with transcripts submitted if using education as qualification One year of specialized experience in security systems, evaluation, or guidance Work Environment Primarily sedentary with some walking and standing during inspections and training.
