Skillforce is currently hiring several Pipefitter/welders for contract to permanent commercial work in Louisville, KY and surrounding areas!

Pipefitter/welder Responsibilities:

• Select and arrange pipes according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Reading blueprints and preparing materials.
• Welding pipes using various techniques and inspecting welds.
• Maintaining equipment and adhering to safety regulations.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes and sizes.
• Test pipe systems for leaks using pressure gauge kits.
• Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
• Modify and maintain pipe systems and components as necessary.
• Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, and mechanical engineers to ensure specifications are met.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulations to create a risk-free environment.

Pipefitter/welder Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a pipefitter.
• Ability to pass a 6g weld test.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
