The Position As we continue to grow, we are looking for Podiatrists to provide Podiatric services to residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout the Davenport, IA area. What You Will Do As a Podiatrist, you will provide Podiatric care to Skilled Nursing residents, including but not limited to: Assessing and diagnosing foot, ankle, and lower leg problems through physical exams, x-rays, medical laboratory tests, and other methods. Providing treatment for foot, ankle, and lower leg ailments. Advising, educating, and instructing patients on foot and ankle care and on general wellness techniques to improve mobility, independence, and quality of life. Coordinating patient care in collaboration with other providers and the facility’s interdisciplinary team. Referring patients to other providers or specialists if you detect larger health problems, such as diabetes or vascular disease. Other Duties and Responsibilities Prescribing necessary medications and treatments. Developing and implementing patient management policies and procedures. Facilitating referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities. Communicating with attending physicians and/or specialists regarding patient care. Being comfortable and proficient with documentation and CPT coding. Working with Vitae will provide you with: A healthy work-life balance and flexibility. No need to work overnight shifts or weekends; however, as a Vitae provider, you can always take off days during the week and work weekends if you’d like. High referral volume with earning potential. Compensation Our Podiatrists are paid a percentage of revenue – the larger your caseload and workload, the more you can earn. More details will be shared during the interview process. Our Requirements Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine. Ability to build rapport with patients and their loved ones. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership experience with emphasis on teamwork in a healthcare setting.
