Founded in 1968, our areas of expertise include metal stamping, laser cutting, fabrication, manual and robotic welding, tool and die work, powder coating and assembly. Our modern facilities include 190,000 square feet of manufacturing space between three facilities all located in Fairfield, OH. We specialize in numerous industries including construction, transportation, energy, and defense.

About the Role:

The Powder Coat Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by applying powder coating to various metal components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets industry standards. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety, as operators will be handling equipment and materials that require careful management. The end result of this role is to produce durable and aesthetically pleasing products that enhance the overall quality of the final assembly. Operators will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the coating process. Ultimately, the Powder Coat Operator contributes significantly to the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing workflow.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic understanding of powder coating processes and equipment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in powder coating or related field.
• Experience with quality control processes and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate powder coating equipment according to specifications.
• Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, masking, and pre-treating as necessary.
• Monitor the coating process to ensure adherence to quality standards and make adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include a strong attention to detail, which is essential for ensuring that each product meets quality standards. Technical skills are necessary for operating and troubleshooting powder coating equipment, allowing the operator to efficiently manage the coating process. Communication skills are important for collaborating with team members and reporting any issues to supervisors. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of safety regulations, enhance the operator's ability to maintain a safe working environment.
