Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) - Veteran Affairs Government Contract

Valor Healthcare is seeking a passionate Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join our team as a contractor for the Houston Veteran Affairs (VA) Healthcare System .

Contract Details:

• 1-year contract with potential extension up to 5 years.
• Full-time, day shift, Monday through Friday.
• Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, and supplemental insurance.

Place of Performance:

Services are provided on-site at MEDVAMC, Houston, TX, or at any of the 11 Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Texas, including Beaumont, Lufkin, Conroe, Galveston, Katy, Lake Jackson, Richmond, Texas City, Tomball, Humble, and Sugar Land.

Core Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat veterans, perform physical exams, develop management plans, order tests, prescribe medications, and educate patients.
• Coordinate with external providers, document encounters within 24 hours, and comply with VA guidelines and protocols.
• Address walk-in/urgent care needs, participate in outreach, and support patient enrollment and retention.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of clinical practice, preferably in government healthcare.
• MD or DO degree, board-certified or eligible in family practice or internal medicine.
• Valid VA credentialing, unrestricted license, BLS, DEA registration, and proficiency in English.

This position is contingent upon contract award, client approval, background check, and obtaining a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.
