Sidney Black Investigations represents a new approach to Private Investigation. We prioritize casework that serves the interests of individuals, families, small businesses, and non-profit organizations. Our main Employment Type specialization is OSINT i.e., open-source intelligence investigations, but we are growing to meet a demand for more traditional casework.

We aim to be an important community resource. To that end, we have restructured our operations and re-hauled our brand, for a recent relaunch of the agency, a new look, and more Private Investigators.

We need investigators with experience, but who are comfortable thinking outside the box, learning how to do things a bit differently, for a different kind of client than they are used to.

Here is our ideal candidate:

• Must have a Private Investigator (Individual) license in Ontario.
• Must live in or near Ottawa.
• Must have a licence to drive in Ontario.
• Access to your own vehicle is an asset.
• Must have some experience working with at least one other P.I. agency, specifically experience in the field i.e., surveillance, interviewing witnesses, working undercover, and/or etc.
• Must be proficient on the internet, computers in general, and with secure data management.
• Experience in at least one field in addition to security, investigations, or law enforcement is an asset.
• A history of volunteer work that involves working directly with the public is an asset.
• Special skills that can reasonably be considered useful in the field are an asset i.e., acting or improv, endurance training, photography, diplomacy, sales, crisis management, First Aid certification, etc.
