Connect has partnered with our client in Forest Park, GA looking for a Production Planner.

Schedule: 8am-4:30pm open for Overtime as needed

Compensation : 65k-75k

Location: Forest Park, GA

Position Type: Contract to Perm

Job Summary:

The Production Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating the production schedule. This role works closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure all raw materials are procured on time, internal work orders are created and finalized correctly, and inventory is accurately maintained. The position also provides cross-functional support to the order fulfillment team when necessary.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Create and manage production work orders using the WMS/ERP system, monitoring each through completion.

Generate and track purchase orders for all required raw materials including, but not limited to, foam, fiber, boxes, and bags.

Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to develop weekly and monthly production schedules; adjust plans based on evolving priorities.

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and components, ensuring timely reorder to prevent production delays.

Maintain accurate raw material inventory records and ensure updates are reflected throughout the work order process.

Assist with order fulfillment operations as needed to support the broader team.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines with timely follow-up.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; solid general computer skills.
  • Experience with WMS/ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Capable of managing detailed documentation and processes efficiently.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in administration or order processing
