Position Summary The project engineering position requires broad technical knowledge and understanding in mechanical, structural, electrical, and ocean engineering fields. The role involves managing technical aspects of offshore umbilical design and manufacturing projects. It requires cross-functional engagement and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, interacting with internal departments such as project management, procurement, manufacturing, and testing, as well as external clients, testing facilities, and vendors. The applicant must be capable of expressing and presenting technical information and ideas verbally and in writing. Some travel is required. Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL:

Collaborate with integrated teams to develop solutions at Oceaneering’s Panama City manufacturing facility. Assist the engineering team with daily tasks and lead project executions, generating technical deliverables such as procurement specifications, manufacturing documentation, design reports, assembly procedures, and test plans. Coordinate the use of engineering procedures, design reviews, reporting, documentation, and data archiving. Guide engineers and designers in creating and completing design documentation. Operate Oceaneering’s design and analysis tools, with guidance from senior engineers. Determine design verification and validation requirements and work on process improvements. Participate in local process improvement initiatives and help update engineering calculations and tools. Interface with internal stakeholders across departments and sites. Lead or participate in meetings with clients and internal teams. Build internal relationships and support the development of less experienced employees. Work independently to identify and solve problems and support 24/7 operations. Travel domestically and internationally as needed and work in a hybrid environment. Provide aftermarket customer support and troubleshooting assistance. Support manufacturing and testing functions when required.

NON-ESSENTIAL:

Infrequent travel. Additional aftermarket support and manufacturing/testing assistance as needed. Qualifications

REQUIRED:

BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or Ocean Engineering. Minimum three years of engineering experience. Ability to interpret technical procedures, reports, regulations, and specifications. Proficiency in writing technical documents and presenting information. Experience with Mathcad or similar engineering calculation software. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. Ability to obtain a TWIC badge for access to Panama City port.

DESIRED:

Five or more years of engineering experience. Active Professional Engineering License or equivalent. Experience in process improvement, product development, subsea manufacturing, and renewable energy projects. Experience with client interfacing.
