We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst 2 to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications and systems. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work on complex projects, including integration testing and policy administration systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct manual functional and regression testing, as well as execute pre-automated test cases.
• Develop and document test cases, ensuring traceability to requirements using tools like qTest.
• Analyze system requirements and communicate potential issues to the QA Manager and project team.
• Collaborate on the development of test strategies, test plans, and comprehensive project reports.
• Troubleshoot and research production issues, reporting findings to the appropriate teams for resolution.
• Identify and document defects, ensuring they are tracked and addressed in a timely manner.
• Create and manage test data to support various testing scenarios.
• Serve as a QA project lead for low to medium complexity projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Provide daily status updates for active projects and assist with offshore team task allocation.
• Participate in the creation and maintenance of automation frameworks and regression test suites.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with expertise in system integration and user interface testing.
• Strong knowledge of policy administration systems such as LifePro and test management tools like qTest and Jira.
• Proficiency in XML and annuities, with a solid understanding of integration testing.
• Familiarity with software development life cycles and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Experience with browser, mobile compatibility, or device testing is a plus.
