Overview:

AI Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Railroad Construction Inspector for a Metro-North station renewal project in Naugatuck, CT . The ideal candidate must have railroad station platform reconstruction experience , preferably with Metro-North projects .

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections on railroad station platform reconstruction projects to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Oversee construction activities, including track work, structural improvements, and ADA compliance upgrades.
• Review contractor work, perform daily reporting, and document construction progress.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and transit authorities.
• Ensure that all work adheres to Metro-North and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in railroad station platform reconstruction , preferably with Metro-North or similar commuter rail projects.
• Strong knowledge of railroad construction practices, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with MTA, Metro-North, or other transit agency standards.
• Ability to work in a field environment, conduct site inspections, and ensure construction compliance.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Relevant certifications in railroad construction inspection (preferred).

Compensation:

• $60/hr
• Commuting costs may be covered for the right candidate.
