Shift: 9:30 PM-6:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $38.00 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

We are hiring for Refrigeration/Maintenance Tech on our 3rd shift.

You will report to the shift supervisor and join a team of 235 plus team member.

You will work onsite at our Food manufacturing plant is in Kent WA.

Perform PM maintenance and repairs as directed by the direct Supervisor on refrigeration equipment such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, replacement of defective mechanical and manual valves and control the equipment set points

Maintain control of the water treatment system and associated chemicals

Remove and install 3 phase motors, perform motor alignments by use of dial caliper indicators and compressor and pump shaft seal replacements

Remove ice buildup from evaporator drain pans, investigate the cause and correct the problem, drain oil from ammonia system, inspect ammonia detection system and ensure that all ammonia system safeguards are functioning.

Work in motor room, freezer, and blast cell areas

Complete daily CMMS reports as directed by direct Supervisor

Work directly with all refrigeration contractors, electricians, and pipe fitters when they are working on the ammonia refrigeration system to ensure that they are following all of the company safety policies and meeting work standards.

Check integrity and tolerances by the use of a micrometer

Can read and interpret P& ID drawings, blueprints and schematics

Basic electrical experience and troubleshooting with 480V, 277V, and 115V.

Write SOPs, pump down procedures, LOTO procedures.

Monitor fire safety systems.

Read and interpret P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Drawings), equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance

Comply with all PSM (Process Safety Management), OSHA Safety and Health rules. Maintaining clean work areas.

3 or more years of experience in ammonia (NH3) refrigeration and compressor room operation training or equivalent. Desired have certification as a Level II Ammonia

Refrigeration RETA or CIRO (Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator) or higher. (Other nationally recognized certifications will be considered.)

Knowledge in industrial electricity, PLCs, microprocessors and associated components

Knowledgeable in environmental safety, PSM, and PHA

Prefer you having steam and hot water boilers, plumbing, welding, vacuum systems, compressed air, fluid hydraulics, and pneumatics backgrounds.
