About the Role
As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Develop and deliver safety training for employees at all levels.
- Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain safety records, training logs, and compliance documentation.
- Assist in updating and enforcing health and safety policies.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and inspect safety equipment.
- Foster a culture of safety through daily interaction and employee engagement.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- OSHA 30 certification (required); additional certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Attention to detail with a passion for safety and continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS software.
Preferred Skills
- Additional certifications in safety management.
- Experience with safety software and reporting tools.
