Title: PSM / Safety Engineer
Location: Lemont, IL

Hire Type: Long-term Contract (Immediate benefits)

Job Duties:

• Support resolution of Draft, New and Existing Open PHA Findings and Action Items
  • Create work plans
  • Discuss interim measures when applicable
  • Create additional action items as needed
  • Track proposed target date changes
  • Submit EWRs when applicable
  • Follow up on work plans
  • When needed, facilitate meeting/support to remove roadblocks so plans can progress.
  • Track plans to completion
• For refuted/Alternate Closed PHA Action Items
  • Confirm action items have been closed with sound reasoning
  • Confirm evidence/studies have been attached when applicable

• Gas Detection Modeling as needed to support PHA Action Items
• Update PSM procedures
  • Confirm content does not contradict corporate standard or code/industry best practice
  • Update to new format
• Create PHA/LOPA Guidance Documents
  • As issues are identified during PHA/LOPA studies, create guidance documents to help foster consistency.
• Capital/Expense Project Safety Engineering support as needed/assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree
• Prior Process Safety experience required
• Chemical, refinery, or Oil and gas experience desired
