Job Title: Scientist-Pharmacology/Toxicology
Job Summary: Performs routine scientific research utilizing fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in a particular field of specialization.
Education & Experience M.D. plus Master's degree with no experience, or M.D. or Ph.D. with one (1) year of related experience, or Master's degree with three (3) years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of related experience. No other equivalents.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of scientific approach and methodologies. Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise. Knowledge of scientific research principles, practices, and protocols. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to design, organize and coordinate scientific research projects. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data. Ability to develop and follow research methodology and protocol. Ability to comply with safety, environmental, and infections control standards and practices.
Responsibilities - Plans, coordinates, and conducts scientific research requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard scientific techniques; supervises and/or trains employees and students.
- Designs, performs, and/or oversees experiments and data collection to ensure data integrity, quality control, and protocol compliance.
- Collects, analyzes and interprets data; prepares statistical and narrative reports and/or graphs.
- Supervise and/or performs equipment operation, maintenance, and quality control procedures.
- Performs and/or oversees new research procedures.
- Serves as principal investigator on sub-projects of complexities.
