The Senior Pastor serves as the spiritual leader of the congregation, guiding and nurturing the church community through preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively communicate the teachings of Christianity while providing support and guidance during times of crisis. The Senior Pastor will be responsible for fostering a welcoming environment that encourages spiritual growth and community engagement.

Duties

• Deliver engaging sermons that inspire and educate the congregation on Christian principles and values.
• Provide pastoral care, including crisis intervention, bereavement support, and hospice care for individuals and families in need.
• Mentor church members, offering guidance in their spiritual journeys and personal development.
• Facilitate educational programs that promote understanding of Christian teachings and practices.
• Manage conflicts within the church community with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring a harmonious environment.
• Lead worship services, prayer meetings, and special events to strengthen community bonds.
• Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to plan outreach initiatives that serve the wider community.
• Maintain open lines of communication with congregation members to address their spiritual needs and concerns.

Requirements

• A strong foundation in Christian theology with relevant theological education or ordination is preferred.
• Proven experience in crisis management and conflict resolution within a church or community setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively present messages and teachings.
• Experience in mentoring individuals or groups in a faith-based context is highly desirable.
• Ability to provide compassionate Christian counseling to those facing life challenges or loss.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that welcomes diverse backgrounds within the congregation.
• Strong organizational skills to manage various church activities and programs effectively.
