Position Summary The Senior Software Engineer is a key member of the OTECH group, responsible for developing and leading software efforts, understanding underwater vehicle design constraints, and managing subsystems within projects. The role involves applying best practices, collaborating with teams, and contributing to unique underwater systems for US Navy and other government clients. Duties And Responsibilities Lead software development efforts throughout the software lifecycle. Design, develop, and integrate software components. Provide feedback on software design choices. Lead small teams or efforts within projects. Coordinate with software leads and team members. Communicate effectively with non-software teams. Maintain project documentation and testing procedures. Support testing on various platforms and understand system requirements. Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders. Work flexible hours as needed to meet schedules. Qualifications Essential: BSc in STEM or equivalent experience. 2+ years in software engineering. Experience with C or C++. Proficiency with Microsoft 365. Ability to obtain DOD security clearance. US citizenship required. Preferred: Experience in ocean engineering, Linux, firmware, communication protocols, DDS, containerization, CI/CD, Jira, Git, and effective communication skills. Additional Information This is a hybrid role requiring some onsite work. Benefits include health, wellness, retirement, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and more. Salary range: $97,750 - $132,250.
